KL Coatings is a California-based company that provide quality thermal spray coating services to a wide range of industries including aerospace, semiconductor, biomedical and oil & gas nationwide.
Our services help our customers achieve various engineering needs, such as wear reduction, heat protection and corrosion inhibition. We strive to be our customers’ long term partner in providing reliable surface engineering solutions.
We currently operate out of 16,000 sq ft facility in the city of La Mirada, CA and a 10,000 sq ft facility in the city of Santa Fe Springs, CA.

The President of KLC has 20+ years of experience in both thermal spray shops and Supplier Quality roles for large OEMs. KLC’s Quality Manager has 20+ years of experience as the Quality Director at a premier aerospace machine shop. Our commitment to quality is exemplified by KLC’s certification in NADCAP (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) and AS9100D/ISO9001:2015 within 8 months of inception. We also have an FAA Drug and Alcohol program in place.

We offer a wide range of coating methods/materials and can coat components of all shapes and sizes, from tiny bushings to large rocket nozzles. Our services extend part life, impart duality to components, repair and enhance parts to survive harsh environments. Our coatings can also meet other specific engineering needs, such as electric insulation or thermal conductivity.

Our facility is equipped with multiple six-axis robots and integrated spray systems, which allow us to maximize productivity and create consistent and repeatable results, while meeting the most demanding turnaround times and specifications.

We provide one-stop turnkey solutions to our customers with various in-house industrial processes including machining, grinding, tooling, fixturing, masking, blasting, and testing. In addition, we also provide contract inspection services using our in-house NIKON 3D X-ray Imaging system.
